The Melges 24 was the first sport boat to really take off around the world. Produced in Wisconsin, Melges is known for high performance monohulls. In recent years the class has started to die, but in 2016 there has been a Renaissance of sorts, with over 50 boats at the nationals and 100 signed up for the worlds, look for this class to be relevant for the foreseeable future.
